We invest significantly in our trainee programme and recruit three trainees each year. We have a dedicated trainee partner and a tailored trainee programme. We ensure that all trainees get proper training in all of our departments. Many of our senior staff have come through this programme.
Trainees work side by side with associates and partners, and as part of a team. They are given responsibility at an early stage, whilst always supported by appropriate supervision. They are encouraged to show initiative.

We accept applications for our training programme throughout the year. However, please note that our usual schedule is to advertise on the Law Society website for applicants in June or July of each year and then hold interviews in July and August. Our trainees start working with us in September of each year, but do not commence the Blackhall Place Course until September of the following year.
We review all CVs received and then carefully select a number for interview. A smaller number of candidates will be shortlisted for a second interview which is with our managing partner and one other solicitor. It is our policy to acknowledge all applications and to keep you fully informed of our decision-making process.
